BOX Price Improvement Activity Increases In November

In the month of November, price improved contractson BOX Options Exchange (“BOX”) averaged 289,373 per day, which represented an 8% increase over the same period last year. Price improvement versus the prevailing NBBO for contracts submitted via BOX’s price improvement auction (“PIP”) averaged $183,071 per day, while total savings to investors this month were $3.8 MM. With this, BOX has saved investors over $367MM sinceits inception in 2004. Overall average daily trading volume on BOX in the month of November was 576,335 contracts, which represented a 38% increase over thesame period last year.

KCBT Extends Annual Volume Records For HRW Wheat Futures, Exchange

The Kansas City Board of Trade during the month of November continued to add to the annual trading volume records in the Hard Red Winter wheat futures contract and the exchange as a whole. The records were first set in October and exceeded the previous records set in 2010.

BM&FBOVESPA Opens Competitive Bidding Process For Market Makers For Options On The Stocks Of Cia Siderúrgica Nacional, PDG Realty S.A. And Cyrela Brazil Realty S.A. - Institutions Have Until January 30, 2012 To Send Proposals

BM&FBOVESPA announces today the start of the process to select up to three market makers for options on the stocks of Cia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSNA3), PDG Realty S.A. Empreendimentos e Participações (PDGR3) and Cyrela Brazil Realty S.A. Empreendimentos e Participações (CYRE3). This is the fourth and final stage of the bidding program to select market makers for equity options and BOVESPA Index options, developed by the Exchange. The institutions (including nonresident ones) that wish to participate have until January 30, 2012 to deliver their proposals and the winners will be announced on February 02, 2012.

The Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, and Federal Bureau of Investigation today announced parallel cases filed in federal court against several corporate officers, lawyers and a stock promoter alleging they used kickbacks and other schemes to trigger investments in various thinly-traded stocks.

OCC Year-To-Date Cleared Contract Volume Up 19% Passing 4 Billion Contracts In November

OCC announced today that year-to-date cleared contract volume is up 19 percent with 4,278,547,237 contracts, passing 4 billion contracts for the first time ever in November. OCC cleared contract volume in November reached 346,584,214 contracts, a 2 percent decrease from the November 2010 volume of 354,897,569 contracts. OCC's year-to-date average daily contract volume stands at 18,521,850 contracts, nearly 3 million contracts higher than the average daily volume of 2010.

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that total options trading volume for November was 344,377,310 contracts, 2.18 percent less than the November 2010 volume of 352,045,303 contracts.
