Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices
Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes:
- On Monday, May 16, 2011, the shareholders of Toromont Industries Ltd. (TSX:TIH) approved the Plan of Arrangement whereby the company will spin off Enerflex Ltd. (TSX:EFX) to its shareholders on a 1-for-1 basis. The effective date for the transaction will be Friday, June 3, 2011. Enerflex will be added at zero price to all the same indices - and with the same number of index shares - where Toromont is currently a constituent after the close on Thursday, June 2, 2011.

CBOE Holdings Reports May 2011 Trading Volumes: CBOE Holdings Averages 4.2 Million Options Contracts Per Day In May - CBOE Futures Exchange Sets New ADV Record - CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) Options Up 14% Over April, Up 52% YTD Through May
CBOE Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBOE) today reported that May trading volume for options on theChicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and C2 Options Exchange (C2), the company's alternative all-electronic market, combined, totaled 88.1 million contracts, an average daily volume (ADV) of 4.2 million contracts. CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) total trading volume during May was just under one million contracts, making it the second busiest month in CFE's history. In addition, CFE ADV was a record, exceeding 47,000 contracts per day during May.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index
Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 1, 2011:
- Richfield Ventures Corp. (TSXVN:RVC) will be removed from the index. The shares of the company have been acquired by New Gold Inc. (TSX:NGD). The shares of the company will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange after close on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the request of the company.

May Is Second-Busiest Month All-Time At CBOE Futures Exchange As Volume Nearly Reaches One Million Contracts - Total Exchange, VIX Futures Average Daily Volumes Both Set New Records
The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that trading volume during May 2011 totaled 994,608 contracts, which ranks as the second busiest month all-time to-date at CFE. May 2011 volume exceeded the 481,650 contracts traded in May 2010 by 107 percent. When compared to April 2011 volume of 834,892 contracts, May's trading activity increased by 19 percent.

OCC Cleared Volume Remains On Pace For Record Year
OCC announced today that total cleared volume in May reached 362,653,311 contracts, an 11 percent decline from the May 2010 volume of 408,432,157 contracts. While May volume is off against last year’s peak volume at this time, OCC reported options, futures, and securities lending volume remain on track for a record year. OCC's year-to-date average daily volume of 18,072,968 is an increase of 8 percent compared to the same point in 2010 and year-to-date total volume is up 9 percent with 1,861,515,709 contracts.

BATS Global Markets Reports Record May Options Volumes - Reports 10.8% U.S. Equities Market Share; 3.9% Options Market Share
BATS Global Markets (BATS), a global operator of stock and options markets, today reported volume numbers for the month of May, including record 3.9% matched market share for BATS Options. The company’s equities businesses in the U.S. and Europe also had a solid month, reporting matched market share of 10.8% and 5.6%, respectively.

The Options Industry Council Announces Options Trading Volume In May Remains On Record Pace
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that total options trading volume in May was 359,310,820 contracts. While this is down 11.47 percent compared to May of last year when 405,860,027 contracts traded, last month is still the second highest May on record only behind May 2010 which was a peak month for options volume, partly as a result of the ‘Flash Crash.’
