The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today released its weekly program-trading data compiled from member firms’ executed volume from NYSE’s orders database. The report includes trading on the NYSE for Nov. 26-30.

IMF Releases 2011 Coordinated Direct Investment Survey Results

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today released preliminary results from its 2011 annual Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS). The CDIS is the Fund’s worldwide survey of bilateral foreign direct investment positions. The survey has been conducted annually since 2009. The results, published as an online database, comprise preliminary estimates of positions for end-2011 and revised estimates for 2009‒2010. The IMF will also post revised data for 2009 forward in mid-2013.The end-2011 survey includes data from 86 economies. New participants include Benin, Guatemala, Mali, and Venezuela.

Platts: Petrochemical Prices Slip 2% In November On Weakened Demand

Prices in the $3-trillion-plus global petrochemicals market fell 2% to $1,323 per metric ton (/mt) in November, according to the just-released monthly average of thePlatts Global Petrochemical Index (PGPI), a benchmark basket of seven widely used petrochemicals. This follows a drop of less than one percent in October to an average price of $1,351/mt.

CFTC’s Division Of Swap Dealer And Intermediary Oversight Issues No-Action Letter On The Obligation Of Swap Dealers And Major Swap Participants To Provide The Pre-Trade Mid-Market Mark For Certain Foreign Exchange Transactions

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight (DSIO) today issued a no-action letter that provides swap dealers and major swap participants with relief from the requirement to disclose the pre-trade mid-market mark to counterparties in certain foreign exchange (“forex”) transactions that are identified in the no-action letter (“Covered Forex Transactions”).
