  • SIFMA AMG And ISDA Announce That CUSIPs Are Now Available For MAC Contracts

    The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Asset Management Group (AMG) and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), working in collaboration with CUSIP Global Services, have developed CUSIP numbers for the Market Agreed Coupon (MAC). MAC Contracts were developed jointly by SIFMA AMG and ISDA in April 2013.

  • Commerzbank Signs With REGIS-TR As Trade Repository For EMIR

    Commerzbank has chosen REGIS-TR, the European Trade Repository owned by Clearstream (Deutsche Börse Group) and Iberclear (BME) as their provider of trade reporting services, ahead of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) obligation to report over-the-counter (OTC) and listed derivative transactions. Commerzbank’s timely decision allows it to be in the initial wave of institutions to complete the onboarding process with REGIS-TR ahead of time while many others are currently finalising details to ensure they are ready to start with the mandatory reporting once the regulation comes into force on 12 February 2014.

  • CFTC Charges Direct Investment Products, Inc. And Its Principal, Alexander Glytenko, With Commodity Pool Fraud And Misappropriation

    • The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a civil enforcement action charging Carlsbad, California-based Direct Investment Products, Inc. (DIP) and its principal, Alexander Glytenko, with fraudulently soliciting approximately $3.9 million from approximately 761 individuals residing in Russia and various former republics of the former Soviet Union to trade futures, among other products, through a commodity pool known as DIP Capital Partners (the Pool) and misappropriating at least $464,000 of the pool participant funds.
