UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Consults On Guidance To Clarify The Boundary Between Different Investment Advice Models

Guidance to support firms which want to provide simplified advice or sales without a recommendation has been published by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) today. The guidance has been issued following ongoing FCA policy work and the output from a thematic review into the growth of new advice models, including simplified advice.

The Financial Policy Committee is today launching a consultation on the design of a leverage ratio framework for the UK. This forms part of the FPC's review of the role of the leverage ratio within the capital framework for banks, as requested by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in November 2013.

With a net income of NTD 1.72 billion and EPS of NTD 6.05 in 2013, TAIFEX announced to pay NTD 2.0 dividend per share, a cash dividend of NTD 1.8 and a stock dividend of NTD 0.2 (0.02 shares), respectively.

ESMA Defines Central Clearing Of Interest Rate And Credit Default Swaps

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a first round of consultations to prepare for central clearing of OTC derivatives within the European Union. The two consultation papers seek stakeholders’ views on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) for the clearing of Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Credit Default Swaps (CDS) that ESMA has to develop under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

Financial services firms are in the early stages of implementing data quality programs focused on risk management and regulatory requirements as well as operational efficiency, according to a new survey sponsored by The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).
