ETFGI’s Research Shows Assets Invested In ETFs And ETPs Listed In Europe Reached A New Record High Of 477.4 Billion US Dollars At The End Of August 2014

ETFGI’s research finds ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe reached a new record high of 477.4 billion US dollars at the end of August 2014. Year to date net new assets gathered of US$50.4 Bn is US$17.1 Bn greater than the previous full year record level of NNA gathered in 2012. At the end of August 2014 the European ETF/ETP industry had 2,061 ETFs/ETPs, with 6,232 listings, from 50 providers listed on 26 exchanges according to preliminary data from ETFGI’s end August 2014 Global ETF and ETP industry insights report.

Borse Dubai Announces The Sale Of 8,500,000 Shares In London Stock Exchange Group

Borse Dubai has completed the sale of 8,500,000 shares in London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG). The sale represents approximately 3.1% of the LSEG’s share capital and was conducted by way of an accelerated bookbuild on 4 September. The shares were sold to institutional investors at a price of 2,020p each.

Non Jordanian Investment At The Amman Stock Exchange During August 2014

The total value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors during August 2014 was JD22.2 million, representing 18.2% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD16.8million. Thus, the net of non-Jordanian investments during August 2014 showed an increase of JD5.4 million.

Alaska Electrical Pension Fund Sues Global Banks Over ISDAFIX Rate Manipulation Allegations

Thirteen of the world's biggest banks, including UBS, Credit Suisse, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas have been accused by Alaska Electrical Pension Fund of conspiring to set the ISDAFIX rate at artificial levels from 2009 to 2012, causing billions of dollars of investor losses.
