    Prices of key Chinese steel exports have fallen to record lows, as a supply overhang and slowing domestic demand are making sellers slash prices in a race to the bottom, according pricing data published by Platts, a leading global provider of energy, petrochemicals, metals and agriculture information.

  • KRX: KOSDAQ-Listed Stocks Selected As Underlying Assets Of Single Stock Futures

    The Korea Exchange (KRX) announced that it selected ten (10) KOSDAQ-listed stocks including Daum Kakao and Celltrion as underlying assets for single stock futures which will be listed on Aug 3, 2015.

  • Euronext Launches Wood Pellet Contract - Expansion Into Renewable Energy Sector

    Euronext today announced that it will be launching a new Wood Pellet commodities futures contract in the autumn of 2015, subject to regulatory approval.  Aimed at producers, wholesalers and retailers, this physically-settled contract targeting the residential heating sector, will allow the industry to hedge its positions. 

  • Hellenic Capital Market Commission Announcement

    The Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), during its 715th/ 29.6.2015 Board of Directors’ meeting decided the following:

    • The ATHEX regulated market and the Multilateral Trading Facility of “EN.A” (Alternative Market of the Athens Exchange) shall remain closed, throughout the period of bank holiday as prescribed in the Legislative Act of 28 June 2015 i.e. from the 28th of June until the 6th of July (included), taking also into account the relevant decision of the Athens Exchange Decision Committee.
    • The Electronic Secondary Market “HDAT”, for government bonds operated by the Bank of Greece shall remain closed, throughout the above period, taking also into account the relevant decision of the Bank of Greece.c
    • The suspension of redemption of mutual funds’ units during the above period,
    • The suspension of operation of ATHEXClear for the securities traded on the Greek market and the Multilateral Trading Facility “EN.A” and
    • The suspension of the settlement of securities traded on the Greek market by the Hellenic Central Securities Depository (CSD), approving the relevant CSD Board of Directors’ decision.
