McKay Brothers Microwave has launched the industry-leading private bandwidth service between Slough and Frankfurt. McKay’s latency between Slough-LD4 and Frankfurt-FR2 is 4.64 milliseconds (ms) round trip, the lowest known. The company is finalizing more routes between the UK and Frankfurt as well as a London Metro service.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) released the “Notice on Relevant Issues of SSE Bond Market’s Institutional Investors Accepting Services of Money Brokers” on March 2, specifying issues on intermediary services provided by money brokers for bond trading upon entrustment by institutional investors in the SSE bond market. The market holds that investors in the exchange-traded bond market could make their transactions easier with the help of money brokers, which will play a positive role in improving the liquidity of the secondary bond market.

In contrast, the functions of investment banks are typically less well understood. This article describes what investment banks do – as well as some of the risks that they can pose – assuming little prior knowledge. Along the way, it attempts to explain some of the terminology frequently used in relation to investment banking – from 'SPVs' and 'CDOs' to 'bid-offer spreads' and 'dark pools'.

FINRA Foundation Research Reveals Fraud Victims Vulnerable To Severe Stress, Anxiety And Depression

The FINRA Investor Education Foundation issued a new research report, Non-Traditional Costs of Financial Fraud, which found that nearly two thirds of self-reported financial fraud victims experienced at least one non-financial cost of fraud to a serious degree—including severe stress, anxiety, difficulty sleeping and depression. While the Stanford Financial Fraud Research Center estimates that $50 billion is lost to financial fraud every year, the FINRA Foundation's innovative research examines the broader psychological and emotional impact of financial fraud.

The CSA has become aware of multiple websites promoting binary options trading platforms that are soliciting Canadians.
