Dalian Commodity Exchange: Corn Starch Futures Completes 1st Delivery

On March 23, with the registration of the 1st batch of corn starch warehouse receipts all cancelled, the corn starch futures smoothly completed the physical delivery process for the first time. Starch producers and traders, and starch sugar producers all participated in the delivery, with the whole delivery process and the delivery quality standard effectively inspected as well.

Amman Stock Exchange: The ASE Index Quarterly Review

Mr. Nader Azar the CEO of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) said that the ASE has conducted its periodic quarterly review of the ASE index constituents in purpose of ensuring that the ASE General Price Index reflects the market performance and the trading activity of the listed companies. By this rebalancing, the activity of listed companies in regard to trading during the last quarter has been reviewed. After that, the ASE has conducted its screening process for all listed companies using the full market capitalization of the companies and the number of trading days during last quarter. It is worth mentioning that the criteria adopted by the ASE are similar to the international practices applied in this field. These criteria are applied in a number of leading international index providers such as the S&P Dow Jones.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Federal Reserve System's community development research conference, which this year focuses on economic mobility. I would like to commend the organizers for their foresight in choosing a topic that has risen to the top of the global agenda. According to a recent Pew Research Center survey, the gap between rich and poor now ranks as a major concern in the minds of citizens around the world. In advanced economies still feeling the effects of the Great Recession, people worry that children will grow up to be worse off financially than their parents were. In the United States, roughly 80 percent of Americans across the ideological spectrum see inequality as a moderately big or very big problem.

Mr Cœuré reviewed recent financial market developments.
Since the Governing Council’s previous monetary policy meeting on 21-22 January 2015, the announcement of the ECB’s expanded asset purchase programme (APP) had had a significant impact on euro area financial markets, contributing to lower government bond yields and money market rates, particularly at longer maturities, while the euro had depreciated further against the US dollar especially in the days leading up to the meeting.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For ChinaAMC CSI 300 Index ETF Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Thursday, 9 April 2015, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.
