Euroclear Supports UK Government’s First Issue Of An Islamic Bond
Euroclear UK & Ireland (EUI), the central securities depository for the United Kingdom, is co-operating with the Government’s Debt Management Office to bring to market the first ever UK Sovereign Sukuk bond. The United Kingdom becomes the first nation outside the Islamic world to bring such an instrument, which has been sold to both domestic UK and international investors. Primary issuance of this bond will occur at Euroclear Bank, the Brussels-based international central securities depository.

Euronext Welcomes NN Group To Amsterdam Exchange - Largest Initial Public Offering In Continental Europe Since 2011
Shares in international insurance and investment management company NN Group N.V. today began trading on the Amsterdam market of Euronext, after its successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). With a total offering valued at €1.54 billion NN Group is the largest IPO in continental Europe since 2011.

Japan’s Financial Services Agency Publishes A Partial English Translation Of The Comprehensive Guidelines For Supervision Of Major Banks, Etc.
The "Recommendations for Vitalizing Financial and Capital Markets" released by "The Panel for Vitalizing Financial and Capital Markets" on December 13, 2013, recommended that "financial-related laws, ordinances, and guidelines should be translated into English." The FSA published today an English translation of the supervisory viewpoints for foreign bank branches written in the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc, and the related parts.

European Banking Supervision Taking Shape, Say EU Auditors
A report published today by the European Court of Auditors reveals that the Commission’s reform of banking sector legislation and the creation of the European Banking Authority were important first stepsin response to the financial crisis. The European Banking Authority has provided the elements of a new regulatory and supervisory system for the banking sector, taking into account its resources and limited legal powers. However, shortcomings were identified in cross-border banking supervision, the assessment of the resilience of EU banks, and the promotion of consumer protection.

Dalian Commodity Exchange Launches Night Trading With Palm Olein, Coke - Selecting Advantageous Products To Improve International Influence
On June 27, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) released the "Notice on the Issues Related to the Night Trading”, confirming the launching of the night trading at 21:00 on July 4 with the RBD Palm Olein and Coke as the first listed products for the night trading, and DCE will gradually introduce other products on the night trading in accordance with the market operation.
