  • Austrian Equity Market: Historically Low Valuations Offer Excellent Entry Opportunities

    Since the beginning of the year, the Austrian equity market has registered an increase of almost 20% and thus recorded slightly better performance than the DAX or the Eurostoxx 50. Despite this, the valuation of the ATX is still low from a historical perspective. For example, the book value is just over 1, whereas the DAX shows a figure of 1.8. 

  • European Parliament: Debate And Vote On TTIP Postponed

    After the vote on the TTIP resolution had been postponed yesterday on the basis of article 175 of the rules of procedure, today the Parliament decided by 183 votes in favour, 181 against, and 37 abstentions to postpone the debate as well on the basis of article 152.

  • ESAs Consult On Margin Requirements For Non-Ce‎ntrally Cleared Derivatives

    The European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) launched today a second consultation on draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) outlining the framework of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). This second consultation document is the result of an intense engagement with other authorities and the industry stakeholders in order to identify all the operation issues that may arise from the implementation of such framework. Therefore, the consultation focuses only on a narrow set of topics as most of the decisions have already been agreed following the first consultation held in April 2014. The consultation runs until 10 July 2015.
