Nasdaq And Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange Sign Landmark Strategic Agreement - Will Form A New Joint Platform For Private Israeli Growth Companies - Tel-Aviv To Expand Business And Boost Trading Technology With Genium INET

Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ) and Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) have officially announced a strategic cooperation. The two have agreed to form a jointly-operated venture to support private growth companies in Israel. The venture, which will operate out of Tel Aviv, will offer various benefits to private companies including strategic counseling and mentoring, exclusive networking, a secondary market for liquidity events and debt financing services. The private market will have an independent management team chosen by both exchanges. Further details of the venture will be announced during first half of 2016.

EEX: First Trade Registered In Spanish Power Options

Yesterday, EEX has registered the first trade in Spanish Power Options. On 5 January 2015, 25 contracts for delivery in the second quarter of 2016 were registered for clearing, totaling 54,600 MWh. EEX offers European type options on monthly, quarterly and annual contracts (base-load) for the market areas Germany/Austria, France, Italy and Spain.

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, rose 2.4% in December 2015. This performance was stronger than all other major markets, including Singapore up 0.9%, Germany down 5.6%, Japan down 3.6%, the UK down 1.8%, the US down 1.8% and Hong Kong down 0.4%.
