Bucharest Stock Exchange has started the year on a declining trend, more pronounced than most markets in the region. In January the main index of BVB – BET – dropped by 10.5%.

Moscow Exchange (ticker: MOEX) announces trading volumes for January 2016. The FX Market and Derivatives Market posted the strongest growth, with volumes increasing 157.1% and 94.6% YoY, respectively. Money Market rose 42.3% YoY and secondary bond trading volumes increased by 128.2% YoY.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced that its Global Markets Entity Identifier Utility (GMEI Utility) has issued more than 200,000 legal entity identifiers (LEIs) to entities from over 184 jurisdictions since its launch in August 2012, representing a 20% uptick year-on-year and approximately 50% share of the total LEIs issued worldwide – more than three times the next largest Local Operating Unit (LOU).

Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Signs MoU With Emirates College Of Technology

An agreement facilitating mutual cooperation in the fields of institutional development, research, curriculum development, and professional training between Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Emirates College of Technology was signed today at a formal ceremony held at ADX main offices in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Rashed Al Balooshi, Chief Executive of ADX and Prof Bruce Taylor, President of ECT, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organizations in the presence of Mr Wael Al Anqar, The Chairman of ECT as well the senior representatives from both parties.

CME Group Hit Record Average Daily Volume Of 18.2 Million Contracts Per Day In January 2016, Up 16 Percent From January 2015

• Average daily options volume reached a record 4.3 million contracts, electronic options also hit a record 2 million contracts per day traded
• Energy average daily volume was a record 2.6 million contracts, which included a record for WTI crude oil average daily volume of 1.4 million contracts
• Electronic trading reached a record 15.4 million contracts per day
• Open interest was 107.9 million contracts, up 18 percent from December 2015 the highest ever monthly increase
