ASX Monthly Activity Report - October 2016

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, fell 2.2% in October 2016. This performance was in contrast to some major markets, including Japan up 5.9%, Germany up 1.5% and the UK up 0.8%. Declines were also observed in Singapore down 1.9%, the US down 1.9% and Hong Kong down 1.6%.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Bans Lawrence Lai For 10 Years

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has prohibited Mr Lawrence Lai, a former representative of UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Limited and UOB Kay Hian Futures (Hong Kong) Limited (collectively, UOB Hong Kong), from re-entering the industry for 10 years from 2 November 2016 to 1 November 2026 for breach of the Code of Conduct.

Amendments In Borsa İstanbul Listing Directive

Non-Jordanian Investment At The Amman Stock Exchange During October 2016

The total value of shares that were bought by non-Jordanian investors at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) since the beginning of the year until the end of October 2016 was JD453.9 million, representing 25.2% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD310.1 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments showed an increase of JD143.8 million, compared to a decrease by JD9 million for the same period of 2015.
