ESMA-Discussion Paper On Benchmark Regulation: Europex Calls For Considering Particularities Of Energy And Other Commodity-Markets

When establishing Regulatory Technical Standards, Guidelines and Advises for the application of the EU-Benchmark-Regulation, Europex asks ESMA to closely consider commodity-specific characteristics. Particularly, seasonal patterns of prices and particularities of the data availability should be acknowledged when categorizing Benchmarks.

UK's Financial Services Agency: Publication Of The Recommendations From The “Advisory Council On The Systems Of Accounting And Auditing”

The Advisory Council on the Systems of Accounting and Auditing (Chairman Yoshikazu WAKITA, Professor, Nagoya Keizai University (Graduate school), Professor Emeritus, Meiji Gakuin University) published the recommendations on initiatives necessary to ensure confidence in audit based on wide-ranging discussions in total at four meetings which have been held since October 2015.

FIA Pledges To Continue Working With Basel Committee On Impact Of Capital Requirements

FIA welcomed the Basel Committee's consultation on proposed revisions to the leverage ratio today, but expressed disappointment that the new framework does not include an offset for initial margin. The Committee called for data to further evaluate this critical issue, and FIA pledged to continue working with regulators and industry members to address on the impact of the leverage ratio on clearing.
