  • Nasdaq, Inc. Announces Proposed Senior Notes Offering

    Nasdaq, Inc. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced that it plans to commence a public offering of Euro-denominated senior notes pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”, and such offering, the “Offering”). The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the Offering for general corporate purposes, which may include, without limitation, the repayment of indebtedness and the funding of the cash consideration payable in connection with the Company’s acquisition of 100% of the equity interests in U.S. Exchange Holdings, Inc. (the indirect owner of three electronic options exchanges: International Securities Exchange, ISE Gemini and ISE Mercury) (the “ISE Transaction”) or other future acquisitions.

  • GBP 700m European Investment Bank Backing For Thames Tideway Tunnel

    The European Investment Bank has agreed to provide a GBP 700 million loan for the GBP 4.2 billion Thames Tideway Tunnel, the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the UK water industry.Often dubbed the ‘super sewer’, the project is urgently needed to help tackle overflows of untreated sewage into the river through the centre of the British capital.

    ASIC has accepted an enforceable undertaking (EU) from HSBC Bank Australia Ltd (HSBC) that requires HSBC to review and remediate clients who received potentially deficient advice on retail structured products between January 2009 and March 2013.
