IOSCO Seeks Public Comment On Its Analysis Of Liquidity In Corporate Bond Markets

The Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is seeking public comment on its consultation report entitled Examination of Liquidity of the Secondary Corporate Bond Markets, which was published today.  IOSCO undertook this work in response to the concerns of some market participants about liquidity in this important sector.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Market Misconduct Tribunal Finds No Insider Dealing In Warderly Shares

The Market Misconduct Tribunal (MMT) has handed down its decision that Mr Lo Hang Fong, a former Company Secretary of Warderly International Holdings Limited (Warderly), and Mr Luu Hung Viet Derrick, a lender and potential investor of Warderly, had not engaged in insider dealing in the shares of Warderly in 2007.

HKEX: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), announces that with effect from 12 August, 2016 (Friday), 25 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 32 existing designated securities will be removed from the list.  The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 866 after the revision.

Thomson Reuters has seen a significant increase in new Eikon Messenger account registrations after the announcement that Yahoo will discontinue support for its legacy messaging and API service on August 5, 2016. Global energy company Gazprom Marketing and Trading Limited and Dong Energy, Denmark’s largest energy company, are the latest firms to publicly endorse Eikon Messenger following similar endorsements from Europe’s top energy brokers and international energy companies.
