Introduction

Today’s discussions have revolved around digitalisation and new technologies and how they might change the banking business of tomorrow. Roy Charles Amara, a researcher and scientist, once said that “we tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run”. The internet is a case in point. Some of the wilder predictions during the “hype” phase never came to pass. That said, no one can deny how powerfully it has insinuated itself into our daily lives, fundamentally changing how we communicate and process information, and no one can know where it will take us next.

TOCOM Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With China Futures Association And China Xin Yongan Futures

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China Futures Association (CFA) on December 4 and China Xin Yongan Futures Company (XYA) on December 3, respectively while participating in the 12th China International Derivatives Forum. The forum took place in Shenzhen, China from December 2nd to 4th, 2016.

EEX Prolongs Trading Hours Of EUA Options On Expiry Days

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) prolongs the trading hours of EUA options on the expi-ry days from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm CET. The underlying prices will be calculated during the tradi-tional settlement price window between 5:50 CET and 6:00 CET. The option exercise time will be moved to 6:45 pm CET.
