EBA Provides Transparent And Harmonised Information On Asset Encumbrance Across The EU

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today its final draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on the disclosure of encumbered and unencumbered assets for the provision of transparent and harmonised information on this topic, as laid down in the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR). Through the disclosure of asset encumbrance based on a consistent definition and formats, these standards will enable market participants to assess the information provided by institutions in a clear and consistent manner.

Recommended All-Share Merger Between London Stock Exchange Group Plc And Deutsche Börse AG - Publication Of Supplementary Prospectus

Following the publication today by London Stock Exchange Group plc of its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2016, HLDCO123 PLC ("HoldCo") has today published a supplementary prospectus (the "Fourth Supplementary Prospectus"), which supplements the prospectus published by HoldCo on 1 June 2016, as supplemented by supplementary prospectuses dated 28 July 2016, 4 August 2016 and 17 February 2017, in connection with the Merger and Admission (the "Prospectus").

The EBA Publishes Its Regular Assessment Of EU Banks Internal Model Outcomes

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today two reports on the consistency of RWAs, and for the first time, across all EU institutions authorised to use internal approaches for the calculation of capital requirements. The reports cover residential mortgage, SME and other corporate portfolios (collectively referred to as "high default portfolios" - HDP), as well as market risk. The results confirm previous findings and establish these annual benchmarking exercises as a fundamental supervisory tool to restoring trust in internal models.

EEX Set To Acquire 100% Ownership Of US Nodal Exchange

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and the owners of US-based Nodal Exchange Holdings, LLC have reached an agreement under which EEX will acquire 100% of the equity in Nodal Exchange for a low triple digit million US-Dollar investment. As a result, Nodal Exchange will become part of EEX Group.

In recent years, reforms in the monetary policy decisionmaking process in central banks have been in the direction of an increasing number of monetary policy committees and fewer single decisionmakers‑‑the lone governor model. We are only a few months away from the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, just a few years after the 300th birthday of the venerable Old Lady of Threadneedle Street. The Bank of Israel moved from a single policymaker to a monetary policy committee in 2010, while I was governor there; more recently, central banks in India and New Zealand have handed over monetary policy to committees.

Deutsche Börse Taps The US Commodity Market - Acquires Nodal Exchange

The commodity arm of Deutsche Börse Group, European Energy Exchange (EEX), has reached an agreement in principle with the shareholders of Nodal Exchange Holdings, LLC – a US regulated futures exchange, headquartered in Virginia – on the purchase of all shares. Therewith Nodal Exchange will become part of Deutsche Börse Group.

The Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG informs that its indirect subsidiary, European Energy Exchange AG, has today reached an agreement in principle with the shareholders of Nodal Exchange Holdings, LLC on the purchase of all shares in Nodal Exchange Holdings, LLC. The total purchase price for all shares is in the low three digit million range (in USD).

A total turnover of 1.387 billion shares worth N13.726 billion in 15,422 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 765.656 million shares valued at N9.717 billion that exchanged hands last week in 12,468 deals.
