PEGAS Trading Volumes In May 2017 - PEGAS Volumes Progress Boosted By CEGH VTP And ZTP Monthly Records

PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform operated by Powernext, registered a total volume of 140.7 TWh in May 2017, pulled by its spot segment which jumped by 34%, while PEGAS Futures slightly increased year-on-year. Moreover, an overall monthly volume record was reached on the CEGH VTP hub with 7.4 TWh (previous record: 6.6 TWh in March 2017).

Michael Rüdiger New Chairman Of The Exchange Council Of The Frankfurt Stock Exchange - DekaBank CEO Takes Over From Lars Hille

The Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange unanimously elected Michael Rüdiger as its new Chairman today. Rüdiger is CEO of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, and has been a member of the Exchange Council as representative of public law credit institutions since the last election on 1 December 2016. He takes over from Lars Hille, representative of the cooperative financial services network (Genossenschaftliche Finanzgruppe, who will leave DZ BANK AG in October 2017 and therefore will terminate his membership in the Exchange Council after ten years. Dr Matthias Zieschang, Executive Board member at Fraport AG, remains Deputy Chairman.

E-Voting Technology Developed By National Settlement Depository Successfully Used At Sberbank’s AGM

Sberbank has become the first pubic joint stock company to propose its shareholders to use the e-voting technology developed by National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository. 99 shareholders of Sberbank used the option to receive the materials of the shareholders meeting remotely and to vote online at the AGM held on 26 May. In total, 806 shareholders representing 33.3% votes of the total number of voting shares participated in the AGM electronically (including those who used the e-proxy voting technology).

ESM And EFSF Adjust Funding Volumes For 2017 And 2018

The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) have revised their funding needs for this year and the next. The EFSF will now raise €49 billion in total in 2017, an increase of €9 billion. The ESM will raise €12.5 billion in total this year, a decrease of €4.5 billion. The combined funding needs for the two institutions for 2017 will, therefore, be €61.5 billion. While this means an overall increase of €4.5 billion in comparison to the numbers announced previously, the joint funding needs for the remainder of the year will decrease by €1.7 billion.
