UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Fines And Bans Wife And Bans Husband Financial Advisor For Lack Of Integrity

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has banned Mrs Colette Chiesa and Mr John Chiesa from working in financial services for integrity failings. Additionally, Mrs Chiesa has been fined £50,000 for attempting to mislead the FCA during an FCA interview.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange To List Technically Specified Rubber (TSR) Futures In 2018

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) announced today a planned listing for Technically Specified Rubber (TSR) futures contracts in the middle of the fiscal 2018. The listing is pending regulatory approval from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Board members and shareholders representing the majority of common shareholders in TradingScreen announced today the initiation of a legal action against TradingScreen Chairman of the Board Giampiero Grandi in response to significant corporate governance breaches occurring since May 2016. Given the seriousness of the offences perpetrated by Grandi, the majority shareholders of TradingScreen have required his immediate suspension from the TradingScreen board and his replacement as an independent board member.

The October Club Raises £500,000 To Help Transform Care For People With Advanced Multiple Sclerosis

Today, the October Club announced that more than £500,000 was raised last night at the organization’s 30th anniversary dinner. Held at the iconic Savoy Hotel, The October Club’s annual fundraising dinner drew more than 400 guests. Their charity partner for this very special year was The Multiple Sclerosis Trust and the Club, with monies raised to fund urgently needed care and support to people living with the effects of advanced MS.

Joint Statement Following High-Level RFA Dialogue

The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), and the Fondo Latinoamericano de Reservas (FLAR) convened the 2nd High-level RFA Dialogue on 11 October 2017 in Washington, D.C. The heads of RFAs jointly decided last year to organise such an event annually for policy discussions among RFAs, and between RFAs and the IMF.

Colt Brings Asia’s Major Stock Exchanges Closer With Revamped Low Latency Trading Routes - Introduces Top-Class Connectivity Between HKEX And SGX, As Well As ASX And JPX

Colt Technology Services today announced further network optimisations to two of the company’s key low-latency routes in the APAC region. Connectivity is available for service now and provided through the company’s private Ethernet-based Colt IQ Network. Latency for the Hong Kong-to-Singapore route has been reduced to approximately 29ms (RTD) going from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) to the Singapore Exchange (SGX). Latency for the Sydney-to-Tokyo route has been reduced to approximately 99ms (RTD) going from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) to the Japan Exchange Group (JPX/CC2). For both routes, the latency numbers above currently represent the top tier among all providers.
