ISDA Launches Swiss Module For ISDA Resolution Stay Jurisdictional Modular Protocol

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) today announced the launch of a Swiss module to the ISDA Resolution Stay Jurisdictional Modular Protocol (JMP). The new module will allow market participants to comply with Swiss regulations that require contractual stays to be included into certain financial contracts not governed by Swiss law.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an amended order to Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (CME), a CFTC-registered derivatives clearing organization. The order concerns foreign futures contracts currently listed or that will be listed in the future for trading on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) and cleared by CME.  The order was issued in response to a petition CME filed.

• In what was a generally positive month for global equities, the S&P Europe 350® posted a total return of 1.96%. 
• Most S&P Europe 350 sectors gained in October, with Energy taking the top spot, followed by Information Technology. Financials and Health Care were left out in the cold; they were the only sectors to fall this month. 
• The S&P Europe 350 Enhanced Value led among European equity strategies this month. It also topped the charts year-to-date and over the past 12 months.  

SEC: Millennium Settles Charges Of Illegal Short Selling In Advance O Stock Offerings

Investment advisory firm Millennium Management LLC has agreed to pay more than $630,000 to settle charges that it shorted U.S. stocks in companies planning follow-on offerings and then illegally bought shares in the follow-on offerings.
