ETFGI Reports ETFs And ETPs Listed In The US Gather Net Inflows Of US$6.40 Bn During October 2018

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed in the US gathered net inflows of US$6.40 Bn during October. Following a turbulent month for financial markets, total assets invested in the US ETF and ETP industry fell 6.24% during October, from US$3.73 Tn at the end of September, to US$3.50 Tn, according to ETFGI’s October 2018 US ETF and ETP industry landscape insights report, an annual paid-for research subscription service. Bank Of England And Financial Conduct Authority Appoint New Chair Of The Sterling Risk Free Reference Rates Working Group

The Bank of England and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have today announced the appointment of Tushar Morzaria as the new Chair of the Sterling Risk Free Reference Rates Working Group (the Working Group). Tushar has been the Chief Financial Officer at Barclays and a member of the Group Board since 2013. He is a qualified accountant and has previously held senior roles at JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse and SG Warburg.

Bank Whistleblower To Testify Before European Parliament On The International Scope Of The Danske Bank Money Laundering Scandal

The Danske Bank money-laundering whistleblower Howard Wilkinson will testify before the European Parliament’s Special Committee on Financial Crimes, Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance in Brussels, Belgium. Wilkinson, a former employee at Danske Bank’s Estonia office, uncovered a massive money-laundering scandal involving billions of dollars flowing out of Russia.
