  • Nasdaq Nordic And Baltic Markets: Trading Statistics March 2018

    Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today publishes monthly trade statistics for the Nordic and Baltic markets. Below follows a summary of the statistics for March 2018:

    • The share trading increased by 4.8% to a daily average of 3.130bn EUR, compared to 2.988bn EUR in March 2017. Compared to the previous month, February 2018, the daily average decreased by 15.5%.
    • Cleared derivatives volume increased by 11.7% to a daily average of 504,790 contracts, compared with 451,979 contracts in March 2017.
    • ETF trading (Exchange Traded Funds) increased by 53.0% to a daily average of 53.9m EUR compared to 35.2m EUR in March 2017.
    • Nordea Bank AB.was the most traded stock per day during the past month, followed by Novo Nordisk A/S.
    • Deutsche Bank AG was the most active member during the past month, followed by Morgan Stanley Int. plc.
    • Nasdaq Nordic’s share of order-book trading in our listed stocks increased to 69.3%, compared to 68.2% previous month.

    Deutsche Börse cash markets achieved a turnover of €165.1 billion in March (2017: €135.7 billion). In the first quarter of 2018, the trading volume was €480.1 billion – an increase of around 33 percent compared with the first three months in 2017 with €361.5 billion.
