The Financial Markets Authority today published its fourth statistical report on Authorised Financial Advisers (AFAs) in New Zealand. The FMA requires AFAs to submit an annual information return each year.

Cleansing Notice For NZX Subordinated Notes Offer

NOTICE PURSUANT TO REGULATION 49G(2)(e) OF THE FINANCIAL MARKETS CONDUCT REGULATIONS 2014 – 15 MAY 2018
1. NZX Limited ("NZX") gives notice under regulation 49G(2)(e) of the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 ("FMC Regulations") that it proposes to make an offer for the issue of unsecured, subordinated notes ("Subordinated Notes"), (the "Offer").
2. Short-form disclosure is being used for the offer of the Subordinated Notes, as the Subordinated Notes rank at least equally with NZX’s existing Shares quoted on the NZX Main Board. NZX’s existing Shares have been continuously quoted on the NZX Main Board over the preceding three months and trading in the Shares has not been suspended for a total of more than five trading days during that three-month period.

1. This is a decision of the Special Division of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal (Special Division).
2. Capitalised terms that are not defined in this decision have the meanings given to them in the NZX Debt Market Listing Rules (the Rules).Decision
3. Subject to the conditions set out in paragraph 3 below, and on the basis that the information provided by NZX Limited (NZX) is complete and accurate in all material respects, the Special Division grants NZX a waiver from Rule 7.12.1 to the extent that this Rule would require NZX to release to the market details of any acquisition of the Subordinated Notes acquired through a retail liquidity support facility offered to noteholders, forthwith after the acquisition. -

Tokyo Commodity Exchange April 2018 Market Summary

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange reported today that average daily volume for April 2018 was 90,772 contracts, up 8.2% year-over-year. Gold Standard volume rose 49.6% to 31,478 contracts, Gold Mini by 12.9% to 3,128 contracts and Platinum Standard was up 14.4% to 10,705 contracts. Volume was lower for Gold Rolling Spot, which was down 5.6% to 10,853 contracts and Dubai Crude Oil fell 1.0% to 17,181 contracts.

Our regional offices play a critical role in carrying out the SEC’s mission. Having talented and dedicated enforcement, inspection, and examination staff on the ground throughout the country is essential to our ability to fulfill our responsibilities.
