DGCX Records Best H1 Since Inception With Volumes Up 44%

Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) has recorded its best H1 ever in its 13-year history, trading over 11,300,000 contracts so far in 2018, up 44% year-on-year (Y-O-Y). Traded value for the first six months of 2018 breached USD 250 billion for the first time too. The Exchange’s record-breaking performance was sealed following a robust month of trading in June, which saw 2,046,806 contracts traded, up 74% from June 2017. June 2018 traded value reached USD 42.3 billion.

• The S&P Europe 350® fell this month as trade tensions and European political risk soured sentiment. However, gains earlier in the quarter meant the European equity benchmark rose since March. 
• Energy was once again one of the top performing S&P Europe 350 sectors as rising commodity prices provided tailwinds; the S&P GSCI increased 6.69% since March. 
• Most of our European fixed income indices gained this month as the European Central Bank (ECB) announced that interest rate hikes would not occur until at least September 2019.

Federal Reserve Board Releases Annual Determination Of Aggregate Consolidated Liabilities Of Financial Companies

The Federal Reserve Board on Friday released its annual determination of the aggregate consolidated liabilities of financial companies as required by section 622 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The act prohibits a financial company from combining with another company if the resulting company's liabilities would exceed 10 percent of the aggregate consolidated liabilities of all financial companies.

Nigerian Stock Exchange Reveals Results Of Biannual Review Of Market Indices

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced the results of the biannual review for The NSE 30, NSE Lotus Islamic, NSE Pension and the five Sectoral Indices of The Exchange - NSE Banking, NSE Insurance, NSE Industrial and NSE Oil & Gas. The composition of these indices after the review will be effective on Monday July 2, 2018.
