The MNI Chicago Business Barometer rose 1.4 points to 64.1 in June, up from 62.7 in May, hitting the highest level since January.

tZERO Signs Letter Of Intent With GSR Capital For Security Token Investment Of $160 Million - Security Token Offering Closing Date Extended To August 6, 2018 To Accommodate GSR And Other Investors

tZERO, the global leader in blockchain innovation for capital markets, today announced the signing of a letter of intent (LOI) with GSR Capital (GSR), a private equity firm organized under the laws of Hong Kong, to participate in tZERO’s Security Token Offering (STO). In accordance with the LOI, GSR will purchase U.S. $160 million in tZERO Security Tokens pursuant to the Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE). The purchase price per Security Token will be $10.00. To accommodate the investment from GSR, tZERO’s STO has been extended to August 6, 2018.

Revision Of "Japan Financial Services Agency's Supervisory Approaches - Replacing Checklists With Engagement-"

The Financial Services Agency (JFSA) issued the English translation of its draft report "JFSA's supervisory approaches" and called for public comments in English from January 5 through February 14, 2018 (as for the Japanese version, from December 15, 2017 through February 14, 2018). The JFSA recieved 282 comments both in Japanese and in English from 52 individuals and entities. Based on the comments received, the JFSA revised and published the report on June 29,2018.

China Securities Museum Holds 1st Open Lecture, Palace Museum Director Shan Jixiang Employed As Consultant

On the evening of June 23, the first open lecture of the China Securities Museum (CSM) officially kicked off on the trading floor of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). Hosted by Jiang Yang, member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), former vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and chief of the leading group for preparatory work of the CSM, the open lecture was delivered by Shan Jixiang, director of the Palace Museum, and Jiang Feng, SSE deputy Party chief and president, gave a welcome speech. The trading floor was crowded with more than 300 representatives of the financial industry in Shanghai, who shared a cultural feast originating from the Forbidden City.
