    BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) announces the appointment of Mark Lewis as Head of Climate Change Investment Research within its Sustainability Centre.  Based in Paris, Mark will join on 7 January.  He will be a member of BNPP AM’s Sustainability Research & Policy team, headed by Helena Viñes Fiestas, and will report to Jane Ambachtsheer, BNPP AM’s Global Head of Sustainability.

  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange And HKEX Agree On Including Companies Of Different Voting Right Structures As Eligible For Hong Kong Stock Connect

    Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Exchanges have reached a consensus on the specific plan of including companies of difference voting rights structures into the eligible stocks of Hong Kong Stock Connect. This is aimed at further improving the interconnection mechanisms and boosting the coordinated development of the mainland and Hong Kong capital markets. Next, the three exchanges will step up the formulation of relevant rules and make them public after completing necessary procedures. The rules are expected to enter into force in the middle of year 2019.

    On December 7, SZSE released the revised Rules Governing Corporate Bond Listing and Rules Governing Private Placement Corporate Bond Transfer by Listing under the unified deployment of CSRC. Compliant with the new Measures on Administration of Securities Exchanges, such revision is a major means for SZSE to enhance the capability of capital market to serve the real economy. It can boost the sound development of the bond market by further normalizing and improving corporate bond listing and transfer by listing, increasing the quality of information disclosure in the corporate bond market, and protecting the legal interests of bond investors.

    The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has extended the transition periods for certain fees and costs disclosures for superannuation funds and managed investment schemes. This is due to upcoming consultation on the proposals arising out of recommendations made in the review of the fees and costs disclosure regime in Report 581 Review of ASIC Regulatory Guide 97: Disclosing fees and costs (REP 581).
