  • ASX Monthly Activity Report - November 2019

    Trading – Cash Markets (including equities, interest rate and warrant trades)

    • In November 2019, the average daily number of trades was 17% higher than the pcp. The average daily value traded on-market of $5.1 billion was up 9% on the pcp. 
    • Volatility (as measured by the average daily movement in the All Ordinaries Index) was 0.5% in November (compared to 0.6% in the pcp). 
    • Expected future volatility (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 VIX) in November was an average of 11.1 (compared to 16.2 in the pcp).

  • SEC Issues Agenda For Dec. 11 Meeting Of Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today released the agenda for a Dec. 11 telephonic meeting of its Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee. The committee provides the Commission with advice and recommendations on Commission rules, regulations and policy matters relating to small businesses, from privately-held emerging companies to smaller public companies.     Trading volume on SEFs reached $580.4 billion in average notional value per day during November 2019, the lowest level of trading so far this year. The decline in trading volume mainly took place in two sectors: forward rate agreements and credit default swaps. 

  • SIFMA Roundtable Unveils 2020 Economic Outlook: Trade, Global Growth, And U.S. Political Shock Key Risk Factors In Forecast

    Today, SIFMA unveiled the results of its biannual survey of the chief U.S. economists of many of SIFMA’s global and regional firms. Compared with the June survey, the economists surveyed increased their GDP growth estimates by 0.05% for 2019 to a median forecast of 2.2%, on a fourth quarter over fourth quarter basis. For 2020, however, the median forecast was lowered by 0.1 percentage points to 1.8%, on a fourth quarter over fourth quarter basis.

  • TeamViewer And VARTA To Be Included In MDAX - No Changes In DAX - Changes Will Become Effective On 23 December

    On Wednesday, Qontigo’s index provider STOXX Ltd. announced changes to the DAX index family, which will become effective on 23 December 2019. The shares of TeamViewer AG as well as the shares of VARTA AG will be included in the MDAX index and will replace the shares of 1+1 Drillisch AG and Fielmann AG which will be included in SDAX.
