Statement On IOSCO Study Of Emerging Global Stablecoin Proposals

At its meeting on 30th October in Madrid, the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) met, amongst other things, to consider the risks and benefits arising from ‘stablecoin’ initiatives with a potential global reach (‘global stablecoins’), and how securities market regulation may apply to such initiatives.

Net Of Non - Jordanian Investment At Amman Stock Exchange Increased By JD 153.3 Million In October

The value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) in October 2019 was JD 173.9 million, representing 65.8% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD 20.6 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in October 2019 showed a positive value of JD 153.3 million, whereas the net of non-Jordanian investments showed a negative value of JD6.3 million during the same month of 2018.
