  • Beeks Financial Cloud Acquires Velocimetrics

    Velocimetrics has today announced its acquisition by Beeks Financial Cloud Group Plc (AIM: BKS), the global provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for low-latency financial markets. The award-winning provider of business flow tracking and real-time, in-stream performance analytics, Velocimetrics, had been in conversation with Beeks during 2019 because of the clear synergies and market strategy common to both companies, with the recent launch of the new stream2Cloud technology adding impetus to the deal. Beeks sees the Velocimetrics real-time analytics and cloud products as a significant addition to its offerings to clients, while Velocimetrics will quickly benefit from the global reach of Beeks’ multiple centres in USA, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

  • ACER: InterGen Fined 42.5 Million Euros For Manipulating The UK Energy Market

    In its decision, published today, the Great Britain’s Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (Ofgem) found that InterGen (UK) Ltd, Coryton Energy Company Ltd, Rocksavage Power Company Ltd and Spalding Energy Company Ltd (collectively known as InterGen) manipulated the Great Britain’s wholesale electricity market. As a consequence of this breach of Article 5 of the EU Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), Ofgem has imposed payments amounting to GBP 47.8 million - around EUR 54.6 million (reduced to payments of GBP 37.2 million - around EUR 42.5 million - after settlement discount on the penalty levied).

  • Collaboration Between Bursa Malaysia And Shenzhen Stock Exchange To Broaden Opportunities In Investment

    Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (“SZSE”) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) to broaden opportunities in investment and facilitate further cross-border collaboration between the two countries.
