  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange Weekly Bulletin 21 December, 2020, Issue 35

    On December 5, 2020, Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect marked its fourth anniversary. The accumulative trading value of both Northbound and Southbound trading are 23.11 trillion RMB. Northbound Stock Connect ran for 929 trading days, with a total turnover of 18.93 trillion yuan. The average daily turnover increased from 1.54 billion yuan in the first month of opening to 55.61 billion yuan in November, 2020, an increase of 3508.63%. Southbound Stock Connect ran for 909 trading days, with a cumulative turnover of 4.16 trillion yuan. The average daily trading value increased from 454 million yuan to 12.57 billion yuan in November, 2020, an increase of 2668.06%.

  • Moscow Exchange Launches Physically-Deliverable Wheat Futures

    On 21 December 2020, the Moscow Exchange Derivatives Market launched trading in a deliverable futures contract on wheat. The new instrument was designed in partnership with VTB Capital to meet the needs of various market participants including agricultural producers, processors, wheat exporters as well as banks, brokers and their clients.

    Bursa Malaysia Berhad and its subsidiaries will be closed on these dates in conjunction with the following public holidays:

     1.   Christmas: Friday, 25 December 2020 

    Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will resume operations on Monday, 28 December 2020.   

  • Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission Previews New Electronic Licensing Services

    The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today unveiled new electronic licensing functions on WINGS (Note 1), an online platform for submitting information to the regulator. These functions are a cornerstone of the fully digitalised licensing process which the SFC plans to launch in 2021.
