    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, has today updated its Questions and Answers document on practical questions regarding data reporting issues, under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

    Company Watch, a commercial credit reference agency at the forefront of predictive and financial risk management technology, has launched its unique Covid-19 Scenario Forecast H-Score®  tool. It’s used by organisations around the world to accurately predict their exposure to financial risk; H-Score® predicted 92% of quoted company insolvencies around the world over the last four years. The new functionality is designed specifically to allow credit and procurement risk analysts, as well as funds, investment houses, and other financial institutions to test their ‘what-if’ assumptions and how changes to various factors, such as change in sales or bad debts, might affect a company’s financial performance. It can be used for any UK company which has filed full accounts with Companies House.

    400 million shares, representing 20% of total equity shares of Parsian Leasing Co. was offered publically on Tehran Stock Exchange through a virtual ceremony.

  • CFTC Charges Florida Man For Attempting To Fraudulently Profit From COVID-19 - First CFTC Enforcement Action Targeting Misconduct Directly Tied To COVID-19

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced it has filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas against James Frederick Walsh of Boca Raton, Florida, charging him with fraudulent solicitation and failure to register with the CFTC. Walsh’s fraudulent solicitations include falsely claiming to generate increased profits as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first enforcement action brought by the CFTC alleging misconduct tied directly to the pandemic. The CFTC has also brought additional cases against entities and individuals whose frauds were ongoing during the pandemic. [See CFTC Press Release Nos. 8180-20, 8179-20, 8164-20].
