CME: Soybean Futures Reach Open Interest Record Of 1 Million Contracts

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that open interest in Soybean Futures reached a record of 1,005,393 contracts on October 2, 2020, up from the previous open interest record of 994,165 set on September 30, 2020.

Miami International Holdings, Inc. (MIH) today reported September 2020 options trading results for its three securities exchanges – MIAX®, MIAX PEARL® and MIAX Emerald™ (together, the MIAX Exchange Group™). The MIAX Exchange Group collectively executed over 86.7 million equity option contracts in September for a combined average daily volume (ADV) of 4,129,567 contracts, representing a total U.S. equity options market share of 13.71%.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today its quarterly Risk Dashboard covering Q2 2020 data and summarising the main risks and vulnerabilities in the EU banking sector. Whereas capital ratios held up well, there are indications that the crisis starts to have an impact on asset quality. With increasing cost of risk, profitability continued its declining trend.

Tradeweb Reports September Total Trading Volume Of $18.5 Trillion

Average daily volume (ADV) across rates, credit, equities and money markets for Tradeweb Markets was $870.5 billion (bn) in September 2020, down 0.5 percent (%) year over year (YoY). Strong growth in Credit, Equities and Money markets continued in September with monthly ADV up more than 15% YoY in all three asset classes. Active issuance continued to promote strong secondary bond trading across fixed income markets, while activity around September ‘rolls’ helped buoy rates and credit derivatives monthly volume. Average daily trades for the month totaled 49,944.

- FTSE Russell’s ‘Advanced Climate EGBI’ selected as benchmark for the first climate risk-adjusted government bond ETF in the market
- The iShares € Govt Bond Climate UCITS ETF consists of sovereign debt from European Monetary Union (EMU) countries
- The index adjusts country weights based on a forward-looking assessment of climate risk faced by sovereigns in the EMU using three pillars, physical risk, transition risk and resiliency
- The UCITS product starts trading on 5 October in Germany
