Japan Financial Services Agency: "Basic Guidelines On Climate Transition Finance" Announced

In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it will also be essential to secure financing for industries' transition efforts toward decarbonization. Together with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of the Environment, the Financial Services Agency (FS) held a "Taskforce on Preparation of the Environment for Transition Finance" (chaired by Prof. Kunio Ito, Director of the Hitotsubashi CFO Education and Research Center at Hitotsubashi University), and formulated the "Basic Guidelines on Climate Transition Finance" as a handbook for conducting transition financing.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Holds The Forum On Improving The Quality Of Guangdong Provincial State-Controlled Listed Companies

To implement the Opinions of the State Council on Further Improving the Quality of Listed Companies and the 2020-2022 Action Plan for SOE Reforms, SZSE, together with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People’s Government of Guangdong (the “SASAC Guangdong”), recently organized and held the forum on improving the quality of guangdong provincial state-controlled listed companies. SZSE Chairman Wang Jianjun, heads of the SASAC Guangdong, Guangdong Financial Supervisory Authority, CSRC Guangdong Branch and CSRC Shenzhen Branch, heads of three listed companies’ controlling shareholders, and persons in charge of 13 listed companies attended the forum.

The “Investor Education Trip Promoting Revolutionary Traditions” Investor Protection Popularization Campaign at its first stop was recently held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, where the “Red Boat Spirit” originated. Organized by the Investor Protection Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission (“CSRC”) in cooperation with the Shenzhen and Shanghai stock exchanges and on the theme of “remaining true to the original aspiration and undertaking mission, and bringing tangible benefits to investors” of the May 15 Investor Protection Popularization Day, the campaign sent a lecturer team to places where major historical events in the CPC’s centenary endeavor once occurred to give lectures on the history of the CPC and the capital market and educate the public on rational investment.
