Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased or decreased volatility, as the case may be, in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of August 29, 2022 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.

CFTC: Office Of The Chief Economist ENN's Reports Update

Commission staff have published all ENN's reports between Q4 2020 and Q2 2022. These reports were previously missing due to a redesign in the Global Trade Repository service platform at The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation that went live the weekend of November 20, 2020.

SEC Charges Venture Capital Adviser Energy Innovation Capital Management For Overcharging Fees

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Energy Innovation Capital Management, LLC (EIC), a California-based exempt reporting adviser, with charging excess management fees from two venture capital funds. EIC has returned $678,681 plus interest to the funds and their limited partners, and has agreed to settle the SEC’s charges by paying a $175,000 penalty.

Nigerian Exchange Weekly Market Report For September 2nd, 2022

A total turnover of 1.195 billion shares worth N12.924 billion in 19,305 deals was traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange, in contrast to a total of 914.443 million shares valued at N15.263 billion that exchanged hands last week in 18,021 deals.

Moscow Exchange To Add Trading Hours

Moscow Exchange plans to resume after-hours trading on the Equity & Bond Market, as well as pre-market trading on the Derivatives and FX Markets on 12 September 2022. This will mean trading will run for 12 hours on the FX Market, 14 hours on the Equity and Bond Markets and 15 hours on the Derivatives Market.

ACER Urges A Review Of The Rules On The Automatic Maximum Price Adjustment Mechanism In The Day-Ahead Electricity Market

Europe’s single day-ahead market has an automatic price limit adjustment mechanism in case of high prices. The rationale behind this mechanism was following price spikes or in case of scarcity to allow consumers and market participants to gradually and better adapt to the market situation.

CFTC: Federal Court Orders New Jersey Resident And His Company To Pay Over $5 Million For Fraudulent Solicitation, Misappropriation, And Violation Of Trading Prohibition In Prior Consent Order - Relief Defendant Required To Disgorge Funds Received From Defendants

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced that Judge Zahid N. Quraishi of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey entered a final judgment and consent order resolving charges against defendants Swapnil Rege (Rege) and SwapStar Capital LLC, and relief defendant Reema Rege. The order finds that the defendants engaged in fraudulent solicitation and misappropriation, and that Rege violated a prior CFTC consent order that, among other things, barred him from trading commodity interests for at least three years. The order further finds that Reema Rege received money or profits illegally obtained by the defendants, and is not legally entitled to and has no legitimate claim to such funds.

OCC August 2022 Total Volume Up 13.3% Year-Over-Year, Third Highest Month On Record

OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, announced today that year-to-date average daily volume through August 2022 was 40.5 million contracts, up 4.2 percent compared to year-to-date average daily volume through August 2021. Total volume was 912.5 million contracts, up 13.3 percent compared to August 2021 and the third highest month in OCC’s history.
