Regret At Deutsche Börse

The decision taken by LSE to end talks leading to a merger between Deutsche Börse and the London Stock Exchange was received with regret by Deutsche Börse on Tuesday. Deutsche Börse emphasized that a merger would have marked an important step in the consolidation of European capital markets and would have enhanced shareholder value of both organizations. Issuers, investors, intermediaries and the two financial centers Frankfurt and London would have benefited from the market consolidation.

New values of indices calculated by Iceland Statistical Bureau become effective 01.Oct.2000. CPI for month of October is 199,5 (now 199,1) and CTI for month of October is 3939 (now 3931). Intra-month daily adjustment used by Iceland Stock Exchange will be 2,438% p.a. for the CPI and 2,47% p.a. for the CTI until the end of the month.

SEC And Department Of Justice Sanction Four Options Exchanges For Anticompetitive Conduct - Amex, CBOE, Pacific, And Philadelphia Censured And Ordered To Spend $77 Million On Surveillance And Enforcement
