CME To Begin Trading Four Regional Oriented Strand Board Futures Contracts

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced that it will launch separate Oriented Strand Board (OSB) futures and options contracts for the North Central (Chicago), Southeastern (Atlanta), Southwestern (Dallas) and Western (Los Angeles) regions of the U.S. on Wednesday, March 1. Options on the new OSB futures will be eligible for trading on March 2.

Amsterdam Exchanges Waves Decision On Baan Company N.V.

Amsterdam Exchanges has taken notice of the update on the financial position of Baan Company N.V.. Due to the plan in progress we have presently waved a decision to place Baan Company N.V. on 'special listing conditions'. This is conditional upon the fact that within a period of four weeks Baan Company N.V. can demonstrate that it has improved shareholders' equity in order that the net asset position of the company remains positive.

New York Stock Exchange To Suspend, Apply To Delist Tag Heuer International SA

The New York Stock Exchange announced today that trading in the American Depositary Receipts of Tag Heuer International SA-ticker symbol THW-will be suspended as of the close of business on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. Following suspension, application will be made to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist the issue.

CME, FORTUNE Announce Futures, Options On FORTUNE e-50, FORTUNE 500 Indexes

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and FORTUNE announced today that FORTUNE has licensed the CME to offer new, high-profile products based on indexes developed by the magazine's editors. Pending regulatory approval, the exchange will develop and trade futures and options contracts on the FORTUNE e-50 Index and the FORTUNE 500 Index.

CBOE Will Close Interest Rate Options Early On Friday, February 18

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that Interest Rate Options will close early on Friday, February 18 in observance of the President's Day holiday next Monday. Interest Rate products will close at 12:00 Noon, Central Time, and options will settle based on the noon cash-bond prices. All other options and CBOE products will close as normal. The Exchange will be closed for business on Monday, February 21 and will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday.

The average daily turnover for the 21 trading days in January was HKD 17,492 million, an increase of 38% compared with the previous month and 235% as compared with HKD 5,222 million in January 1999. Total turnover value for the month was HKD 367,325 million compared with HKD 265,648 million last month and HKD 104,448 million in January 1999.
