Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. To Join Nasdaq Financial-100 Index Beginning July 31, 2000

Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:HCBK) of Paramus, New Jersey, will become a component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Monday, July 31, 2000. Hudson City Bancorp will replace Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A., which is being acquired by Grupo Financiero Galicia S.A.

CME E-mini Lean Hog Contract Opens

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) officials today rang a ceremonial bell initiating trading in "E-mini" lean hog futures contracts-the first traditional agricultural commodity to be traded exclusively on the CME's GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system.

Central Bank Of Iceland Weekly Repo Auction 25/7 2000

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on July 25, of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 20 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

Mary McDonnell has been promoted to the position of Vice President and Managing Director, CBOT/Eurex Alliance, and Thomas S. Cargie has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Market Data Services.

Amendments have been made in the Main Board Listing Rules and the GEM Listing Rules in connection with the appointment of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited as an ex officio member of the Listing Committee of the Exchange and the GEM Listing Committee.
