CME Live Cattle Options Set Open Interest Records

For eleven consecutive sessions, open interest in options on live cattle futures has continued to set new records on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) beginning with 103,219 positions on Jan. 11, and reaching 115,558 on Friday, Jan. 26.

NYSE Ready for "Decimal Monday," Jan. 29, 2001

On "Decimal Monday", January 29, 2001, the NYSE will complete the conversion to decimal pricing on its more than 3,500 listed securities. The Exchange has been decimal ready since April 2000 and began phasing in the move to decimals – pricing stocks in dollars and cents instead of in fractions – last August via a pilot program. As of today, 159 NYSE-listed issues trade in decimals.

Stock Exchange Of Thailand Announces Solutions To Limitation On Share Volume Reporting Systems

Due to the limitation on the trading report regarding the "share volume" of the Price Reporting System (PRS), which is set at 2,148 million shares, the Stock Exchange of Thailand was unable to broadcast the number of shares traded, which exceeded the volume mentioned above, during the trading hours of January 25 - 26, 2001.
