  • Euronext Amsterdam To Sell Off 25% Stake In Tijd Beursmedia B.V.

    Euronext Amsterdam N.V., created by the merger between the exchanges of Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris disposes its 25% interest in Tijd Beursmedia B.V. The stake was originally acquired by Amsterdam Exchanges, the former exchange organisation in Amsterdam, in connection with its publishing activities.

  • CME Posts Record Open Interest On Second Busiest Trading Day

    Open interest on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) posted a record of 11,904,211 on May 4, surpassing the previous record of 11,859,810, set on March 15. It was the second busiest trading day in CME’s history, with 2,258,956 contracts changing hands. The volume record of 2,834,016 contracts was set on April 18.

    The CHX topped all previous share volume records on April 18, when share volume peaked at 165,668,874. The Exchange also experienced its seventh busiest day in CHX history on April 19, when share volume reached 142,354,432.

    A total volume of CHF86,909 million was traded on SWX in April, 32.51 percent less than the month before. The total comprises CHF 68,523 million in equities (including funds), CHF13,019 million in bonds, CHF 2,887 in derivatives, CHF 1,134 in USD denominated Eurobonds, CHF 1,327 in EUR denominated Eurobonds and CHF 20 in GBP denominated Eurobonds.
