    The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that effective December 31, 2001, the New York Futures Exchange, Inc. will close its domestic stock index futures markets on the last trading day of every month at 4:15 p.m. New York Time and settle such contracts at fair value. The change in time is consistent with the same change made by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

    The Nasdaq Stock Market® today announced that over 8,100 trades and 2.4 million single counted shares were executed through the Primex Auction System™ on its first trading day. During the initial phase of the Primex Auction System's operation, trading is limited to the 30 stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, including Nasdaq leaders Intel and Microsoft.

  • Baltic Exchange Plans Membership Changes

    Changes in the rules governing membership of the Baltic Exchange - including the introduction of the new category of social member - are being proposed by the Exchange's board. Under the changes, which will be subject to approval by shareholding members at a meeting to be held next month (January), social membership will be open to individuals, companies and partnerships entitling them to use the organisation's catering facilities.
