The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange announced on December 17 that it had upgraded its contingency facilities for trading and clearing. The upgrading ensures that should an emergency arise, all TASE systems will continue to function seamlessly.
Philadelphia Stock Exchange: New Trading Hours For QQQ Options

Please be advised that the Exchange has designated options on Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock ("QQQ Options") for trading until 4:15 P.M. In the past QQQ Options ceased trading at 4:05 P.M. on the last trading day of the month. Effective Monday, December 31, 2001, QQQ Options will return to the normal daily closing time of 4:15 P.M. on the Phlx on the last trading day of the month.

This meant that the number of trades which are reported twice were reduced remarkably to benefit the transparency of both the price and turnover picture. Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/CDNX Composite Index: AfriOre Limited (CDNX:AFO) will commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange effective Monday, December 31. As a result of its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the company will be removed from the S&P/CDNX Composite Index effective after the close of business on Friday, December 28, 2001.
