  • Deutsche Boerse Group: 309 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock

    Based on the aggregate turnover statistics, a total volume of some 309 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in May, a slight decrease of 6.7 percent from the previous month's figure (April 2002: 331 billion euros). The May total comprises 238 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 70.8 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

  • CME's May Trading Volume Is Second Highest On Record - At 45.1 Million GLOBEX® Electronic Trading Volume In May Increases 108 Percent

    Trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) in May reached the second highest level for a single month in exchange history, as 45.1 million contracts changed hands, an increase of 35 percent from May 2001. Year-to-date volume reached 209.3 million contracts, representing an increase of 33 percent over 2001. The underlying value of the contracts traded totaled $31 trillion.

  • Versatel Removed From Amsterdam Midkap Index As From 5 June 2002

    Euronext announced today that as from Wednesday 5 June 2002 Versatel would be removed from the Amsterdam Midkap index as a consequence of the listing measure imposed on 5 March 2002, provided that the listing measure is still in force at the close of the markets on 4 June 2002. Euronext previously stated that, in accordance with the index ground rules, Versatel would continue to be included in the Amsterdam Midkap index for up to three months following the imposition of the listing measure.
