Direct Access and Order Routing Terminals Extended To All The USA
ParisBourse SBF SA has just been authorized by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission - the Federal regulatory agency for futures trading in the US - to install NSC workstations in the USA. COMED Confirms No Problems Affecting CBOT

CBOE To Open For Normal Business Hours
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that it will be open for regular trading hours on Friday, August 13, 1999 regardless of the status of Commonwealth Edison power. CBOE, if necessary, will operate its trading floor through the use of its back-up generators.

Botswana Stock Exchange Market Commentary
The market surged an enormous 7.5% to yet another record high, the second largest weekly gain in the history of the Botswana Stock Exchange. The index is now up 34% in Pula and 29% in US$ year to date. BARCLAYS once again led the charge as it leapt P1.10 higher to P7.50 on over 55,000 shares.

SIMEX July Volume Grows 18%; SiMSCI & Taiwan Futures Break Records Again
The Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX) announced yet another month of robust growth. The month of July 1999 traded a total of 2,275,615 contracts, an increase of 18.1% compared to the 1,927,165 contracts traded in July 1998.

ParisBourseSBFS.A. to extend trading hours from September 20, 1999
As part of harmonization measures adopted by the eight member exchanges of the European Alliance, and as announced on June 17, ParisBourseSBFS.A. will extend its pre-opening and trading hours for equities, bonds, equity derivatives and index derivatives as of September 20, 1999.

New index values, effective July 1 on Iceland Stock Exchange
New values of indices calculated by Iceland Statistical Bureau become effective 01.Sep. CPI for month of September is 190.2 and CTI for month of September is 3,755. Intra-month daily adjustment used by Iceland Stock Exchange will be 4.524% p.a. for the CPI and 4.249% for the CTI until the end of the month.

CBOT Wins Appeal Against SEC On Stock Index Futures, Paving The Way To Eliminate Outmoded Shad-Johnson Restrictions
In a landmark and far-reaching court decision that will help frame the legislative debate on improving the competitiveness of U.S. futures markets, the Chicago Board of Trade yesterday won federal appeals court approval to trade futures based on the Dow Jones Utilities Average and the Dow Jones Transportation Average.
