LIFFE Trades Record Quarter Since Launch Of LIFFE CONNECT™

The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) has had its busiest quarter since trading began on LIFFE CONNECT™, trading a total of 47,423,591 contracts for the first quarter of 2001. The Exchange also set a monthly trading volume record, trading 17,372,943 futures and options contracts during March 2001, representing an average daily volume of 789,679. This volume represents a 48% increase on the same month last year and a 44% increase year-to-date.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) President, Mr. Vicharat Vichit-Vadakan, declared "SET securities trading in March 2001 recorded a total market turnover of 11,899.71 million shares in volume and 113,632.82 million baht in value, 25,754.29 million baht less than in February. The SET Index closed on March 30 at 291.94, down by 33.26 points or 10.23 % from the previous month."

Pursuant to the SEC's recently adopted "Firm Quote" Rule for options, the Exchange has adopted new Rule 1082, Firm Quotations. The new PHLX rule sets forth a "quotation size" for orders for the account(s) of broker-dealers of one (1) contract.
OM Stockholmsbörsen Changes Name And Graphics Profile

New Version Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange's Saxess Trading System

On 6 June 2001, a new version of the SAXESS trading system, version 3.0, will be launched. The modifications of this version have been implemented in accordance with the requests of our customers and are a further improvement of the functionality in SAXESS.
