UK's Financial Services Authority Publishes Final Rules On Managing Conflicts Of Interest In Investment Research

Regulated firms will now have to develop and publish policies to ensure that their research analysts do not compromise their objectivity. Final rules announced by the Financial Services Authority today address conflicts of interest in the production of investment research that is held out to clients as being objective.

With effect from Wednesday, CTS Eventim AG will be included in the SDAX index as part of an unscheduled amendment to its composition. The stock will replace Holsten- Brauerei AG, whose free float has fallen to below five percent since the takeover by Carlsberg Deutschland. Holsten therefore no longer meets the requirements to be included in the SDAX.
