For the week of September 29th - October 3rd, 2003, total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) reached 634 thousand contracts and 4 986 million rubles, compared with 646 thousand contracts and 5 060 million rubles the week before. Total open interest as of October 3rd, 2003, equaled 4 397 million rubles and 706 thousand contracts (as of September 26th, 2003, the numbers were 2 739 million rubles and 573 thousand contracts).

EuroCredit MTS To List First UK Issuer - Adds HBOS Benchmark Covered Bond

EuroCredit MTS is pleased to announce that the HBOS Treasury Services 3.75% 26 July 2010 has today become the first UK covered bond to be listed on EuroCredit MTS. HBOS becomes the first UK issuer to be introduced on the pan-European MTS platform. By listing the bond, EuroCredit MTS extends the range of covered bonds for which it facilitates increased flows and transparency and delivers efficiencies for issuers and market participants alike.

Dow Jones Indexes To Launch First Middle East Blue-Chip Index - Dow Jones Indexes And Dubai International Financial Centre Cooperate To Create Index For Arab Region

Dow Jones Indexes today announced that it will launch the Dow Jones DIFC Arabia Titans 50 index, a regional blue-chip index that covers Arab countries in the Middle East, in the first quarter of 2004. The index, which is based on the stock prices of 50 leading companies in the region, was developed jointly by Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, and the Dubai International Financial Centre in collaboration with the Dubai based investment bank SHUAA Capital.

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT® ) today announced an all-time total exchange volume record, already surpassing the exchange's 2002 volume record of 343,882,529 contracts. As of close of business on Friday, October 3, 2003, 345,386,451 contracts were traded, year-to-date at the CBOT.
