Today the European Commission adopted the final piece of legislation foreseen under the Emissions Trading Directive, in preparation for the innovative EU greenhouse gas emissions trading scheme to begin on 1 January 2005. Amendments To Baltic Tanker Assessments

The Baltic Exchange has given one year’s notice of its intention to increase the size of tanker used as the basis for reporting for its Middle East Gulf to Japan route (TD3) from 250,000 to 260,000 metric tonnes. The changes will be implemented on 3 January 2006 following a 3 month period of dual reporting starting on 1 October 2005.
