International Securities Exchange Lists Options On The Standard & Poor’s MidCap 400 Index - Exchange Adds Third Index Option

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that options on the Standard & Poor's MidCap 400 Index (MID) will be listed for trading on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 in bin 7 on a March expiration cycle with position and exercise limits of 45,000 contracts. Timber Hill LLC, a unit of Interactive Brokers LLC, is serving as the Primary Market Maker (PMM).

The attached conversion factor tables for the CBOT® U.S. Treasury Bond and Note complex have been revised to include conversion factors for the following government securities that were auctioned on August 10-12 by the U.S. Treasury Department: 1.) 2-3/4s of August 2007 (i.e., a new 3-year note); 2.) 3-1/2s of August 2009 (i.e., a new 5-year note); and 3.) 4-1/4s of August 2014 (i.e., a new 10-year note).

Following the official result of the takeover bid by the French company Sanofi Synthelabo (Euronext 100) for the French company Aventis (Euronext 100), Aventis will be removed from the Euronext 100 Index effective Tuesday 17 August 2004.
Australian Securities & Investments Commission Grants Licensing Relief To CFTC Regulated Financial Services Providers

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) Class Order CO 04/829, granting relief from the requirement to hold an Australian financial services license for wholesale foreign financial services providers regulated by the CFTC, became effective as of July 27, 2004. Under this order, FCMs, IBs, CPOs and CTAs registered and in good standing with the CFTC are permitted to provide financial services to wholesale client

Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, August 11, 2004: South Atlantic Ventures Ltd. (TSXVN:SAA) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the name “Lundin Mining Corporation” and under the ticker symbol “LUN” at the open on Thursday, August 12, 2004.
